My TOP 10 promotion list. What is your top 10?

1. Search engines.
2. Forums and Message boards are a great way to promote your link. Just put the link in your signature.
3. Use Free Ad Boards. for eg. http://BusinessFreeAd.com or http://ovgo.com These are boards that you can post a text ad free for a pre-determined period of time, usually 5 to 10 days. Then your ad expires and you are emailed the option to re-post your ad free for another cycle.
4. Free classifieds are a fast and easy way for you to start marketing, especially if you’re new to internet marketing. For eg. http://tumano.com , UsFreAds.com, etc

Which is a good anti-virus software for reasonable price?

I have mcafee on my computer but it is terrible. Despite it, my computer got infected with lots of malware and adware which kept blocking performance. The mcafee security center keeps saying, "your computer is not protected". When i clicked, "fix now", i get response saying "one or more errors on your computer don’t allow fixing". But that is what i paid mcafee — to deal with errors. And saying, "can’t do it" is horrible.

I contacted mcafee technical support and they said i have to pay $64 more to diagonse errors. This is way beyond any logic for me.

I want to get another anti-virus now which is not so problematic. I installed another anti-spyware named, "PC tools Spyware Doctor" for $29 per year and it detected 264 infected files with malware, adware. I just got that cleaned. Mcafee could not do anything against it.

So if possible please let me know a good anti-virus program that works. Mcafee fooled me real bad.

I have researched all anti-virus products and the best anti-virus protection is Kaspersky. Kaspersky is the best all-round anti-virus program. NOD32 is just as good if not better, it runs faster and has less software conflicts but may be more difficult to use.

Recent tests prove Kaspersky and NOD32 are better than the best sellers Norton and McAfee (av-comparatives.org). Norton is notoriously bloated and takes forever to perform full systems scans.

Trend Micro Antivirus is a viable alternative if you’re having a lot of trouble with software conflicts. Trend Micro rounds out the top three. BitDefender is very good as well, but gives a high number of false alarms.

The most popular free anti-virus programs (AVG and Avast) have poor detection rates (82.82%, 87.46% respectively). If you want a free anti-virus Avira has higher detection rates than AVG or Avast! (94.26%).

HELP

MY phone bills for my house phone have recently gone up to around £60! and they used to be around £30 (at MOST).
I was wondering whether this was because i am using Internet Explorer?
Surfing the web though IE doesnt charge you does it? (like through your phone line etc)
IF IT DOES
do programmes like FireFox?
i have AOL on my ‘main’ PC downstairs (but personally i dont like it – so i havent installed it upstairs on my work laptop). I am running through my wireless (AOL), but going through IE woudnt charge me would it??!!

PLEASE ANSWER WITH HELPFULL SUGGESTION, and not just "yes" or "no".
I cannot afford to keep paying this much per month for my phone bill so PLEASE help me people!!

What ever browser you use doesn’t make any difference to the cost.

Sounds like you have picked up a premium number somewhere. Go to > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections and see if you have any phone numbers in there you shouldn’t have. If you have, delete them.

It’s always worth checking that every day!

plz write a c language program?

Ocado Grocery Store
‘Ocado’ is a world-class grocery store and award-winning service available in UK. Ocado management believes that the customers should be able to shop for a fair price without compromising on quality or service. ‘Ocado’ features an ever-changing range of special discounts and seasonal offers, fresh as well temperature controlled food in the store to achieve the customer satisfaction. One on the primary service that is expected by every customer in a grocery store is something called “Quick-checkout”.
Ocado management intends to make available the fastest possible check-out to their customers. Ocado stores have multiple check-out lanes to quickly process the customer orders and bag the merchandise. A software application for speedy check-outs has to be installed on all these check-out lanes. Ocado management decides to get such an application developed as per the Ocado set-up. After the considerable research, the assignment of ‘check-out’ application has been handed over to the company called ‘Problem Solvers Ltd’
Assume you are working as an ‘IT consultant’ in ‘Problem Solvers Ltd.’ The objective is to develop a check-out simulator which have the following functionalities as the part of check-out process.
•You will ask the user how many items they are purchasing today.
•Then read in the individual prices one by one and add them together to get a total.
•Tell the user the total of their purchases and ask them how much money they are giving you to pay for their purchase.
•If they give you enough money, compute and display their change.
•If they give you the exact amount display a message that they get no change.
•If they do not give you enough money, tell them that and ask them to try again. Make sure they give you enough and don’t compute their change until they do give you enough money.
•Comment the program with your name and a brief synopsis of what the program does.
Note: Make sure you test your program for the possible logical errors.
Prepare a report as the documentation for the check-out simulator covering following tasks.
Task I
i.Identify and select appropriate pre-defined data types for processing the customer order items, cash to be handed-in, change to be given etc.
ii.Use simple input/output and appropriate operators to calculate the purchase bill and calculate the change to be given
iii.Identify and use appropriate selection structures and loop structures for processing the order
iv.Prepare the algorithmic design to Produce programs to desired standards
Task II
i.Construct a program from a design and use appropriate functions/procedures
ii.Demonstrate the effect of scope and life-time of variables
iii.Pass data effectively between modules (For ex the module of order processing to the module of bill-calculation).

Task III
i.Produce user documentation for a completed programming application including the user interface design
ii.Develop documentation for a pre-described program application

Task IV
Testing the program is as important as its design and development. Test you program for all syntactic, semantic and logical errors.
i.Demonstrate discrimination between semantic and syntax errors
ii.Produce test documentation
iii.Successfully construct and use test data and schedules to detect logic errors
iv.Use appropriate techniques for detecting errors

Try Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for folks that might be willing to help you with that for a low price.

On the one hand, they’re outsourced mostly from India.

On the other hand, they’d only expect a couple of nice, shiny, American pennies to do all that.

Based on your masterful use of ‘plz’, and the posting of your homework assignment, one can only assume that outsourcing, for you, is the best option.

However, because I’m feeling nice, I’ll help you get started with ‘a’ C program, as your question implied:
#include <stdio.h>
void main(void) { printf("Twit.\n"); }

Good enough? It’s been many years since I did C, but if you’d like some asm… oh, wait, you thought a CS degree would be easy, cause how hard can computers be, right? You did sign up for a Myspace account all on your own, after all…

Is New Zealand’s government crazy enough to bankrupt their country with Cap and Tax?

http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/11534

CHURCHVILLE, VA—No country in the world would risk as much for “global warming” as New Zealand if it goes ahead with the cap-and-trade energy taxation installed by Helen Clarke’s now-departed Labour Government.

New Zealand’s economy is almost completely dependent on its farm exports: lamb, dairy products, beef and high-end white wines. Half of New Zealand’s carbon emissions come from cattle and sheep. If New Zealand taxes its cows and sheep hundreds of dollars per animal for methane emissions and manure handling fees, Argentina would almost immediately displace New Zealand’s farm exports. Argentina has more grass, more cattle, the potential for more lambs, a surging wine industry—and no Kyoto obligations.

Based on U.S. and Australian “discussions,” a 500-cow dairy might have to pay $250,000 per year for cattle emissions and manure handling permits, plus a hefty increase in its costs for low-carbon electricity and diesel. An Argentine dairy would pay none of these increased costs—and every dollar of cost differential would be a further incentive for Argentine dairymen to expand their exports at the expense of New Zealand.

That would leave Kiwi cities like Auckland and Christchurch without visible means of support.

I said this recently to several New Zealand government ministers and business leaders at a private dinner in Wellington. My message was not welcomed. John Key’s new government seems to understand that New Zealand’s economy would be at terrible risk from carbon taxes—but its voters apparently don’t realize it.

The Clark government told New Zealand voters that the cost of “leading the world” with a carbon tax would be about $150 per year. That figure is laughably low. The British government now admits its new carbon tax law could cost as much as $27,000 per UK family.

The Key government has temporarily suspended the cap-and-trade, but has not dared repeal it. Meanwhile, Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is installing his own cap-and-trade, and playing footsie with President Obama on “solidarity” with a U.S. carbon tax. If Australia and the U.S. agreed on some benchmark carbon tax, most New Zealanders would expect their country to join in.

Never mind that the earth’s global warming stopped after 1998 because the sun has gone into a startling quiet period. That’s why New Zealand’s many glaciers have been growing recently instead of receding. Never mind that even full member compliance with Kyoto would “avoid” only about 0.05 degree C of warming over the next 50 years—by the alarmists’ own math.

The urbanites in New Zealand don’t really appreciate the sophisticated management that juggles pastures and feed crops that produce milk, cheese and Merino wool. They love the wine, but don’t understand the massive per-acre investments needed to turn their grapes into award-winning vintages.

Meanwhile, Obama’s U.S. government has just punished New Zealand with trade-distorting dairy export subsidies–because our corn ethanol program has pushed our cost of dairy feed too high. World corn prices have doubled in real terms, and may go higher as our ethanol mandates keep rising. That jacks up the U.S. cost of “alternative fuels” even further–while New Zealand will have to file a well-justified case against America under the World Trade Organization rules.

Ah, what a tangled web we’re weaving, rather than admit the Emperor of Global Warming has no clothes.

yes they are, they tax any thing there, cigs there run $12 a pack, they have a 12.5% national sales tax figured in, every thing is taxed there to pay for their free health care

Has anyone been able to access the pre installed Yahoo Messenger powered by OZ on the T Mobile Pocket PC?

I have seen lots of discussion concerning Yahoo Messenger and Pocket PC. The downloads at Yahoo are really inadequate. Agile MEssgnger is super, but they want a per month charge now which i would not mind paying except i use the program infrequently. I have also used the Yahoo Wap and this is not a good option either. My question: On the T Mobile Pocket PC installed with the MDA, there is a messaging program called powered by OZ. It prompts me to select AOL, ICQ of Yahoo messenger. AOL and ICQ work, but have not been able to log on to Yahoo. I had a previous Pocket PC from T Moble, a HP IPAQ and it worked just fine and was a full featured Yahoo Messenger. Is there a trick on how to access the Yahoo messenger pre installed. I am wondering why Yahoo does not have a downloadable pocket pc messenger. Help Please!

I use the Oz version from my phone without any problems. However if you go to yahoo mobile from a PC and enter your phone info it will give you options of what version to use. All you have to do to get started is put your number in and they will send you a text with an address to log in.

It takes as little as an ampere to kill someone; however, electricians are often surrounded by up to 200 amperes daily. The job of electricians became important around 1881, when there was a big enough interest in lighting the streets such. Electricians have one of the most important jobs of all. They make sure that people have power, and that things that run off electricity are always working. Having no electricity can cost companies thousands of dollars. In hospitals when the electricity goes out, people’s lives are at stake. Almost all electricians go through an apprenticeship, or on the job training. They will always be needed, because nothing can replace the work done by people inside homes and businesses. Electricians are responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining various types of electrical systems and structures.

Even though electricity was discovered in the early 1700’s, there was no such thing as an electrician until 1881. "Edison and other electrical inventors showed off their inventions at world fairs. Electricians were hired to operate the electrical parts at the expositions" (wois.org). Today, they mainly do the same thing. Except that it is not just in expositions. Now they repair and install electric systems in people’s houses, in large factories, outside telephone wires, and skyscrapers. Electricians were the ones that made our daily lives as easy as they are now.

An electricians work is not all cookie – cutter. It requires some amount of skill that cannot be taught in a classroom. "Less than 5% of all Washington state electricians have a bachelors degree or higher" (wois.org). Most of the electricians go through an apprenticeship program, following a two year professional – technical school. Then they attend a four year on-the-job apprenticeship. They may also be trained through the military. Training lasts for 25 weeks depending on their specialty. To become apprentice, they must have a high school diploma or GED. They must also have a college level algebra class with a "C" or better. To become professionally licensed, they must get a high score on an electrical trade’s aptitude exam. They must also have 8000 hours under direct supervision of a journeyman – level electrician. 4000 of the hours must be industrial or commercial work. They may also obtain a license by equivalent verified training in the military if they pass the licensing test.

Almost all of the fields in the service industry cannot be done by a robot. The electrical field is one of them. Half of becoming an electrician is knowledge, the other half consists of skills, abilities, and physical demands. Some of the demands vary from simple things like using their fingers to assemble small objects, to being physically active for long periods of time. Different types of abilities they need range from multitasking to judging cost, to having quick and accurate math skills. Being an electrician, there is not a lot of grueling, backbreaking work. It is mostly just wires and electrical components. It is usually a 40 hour a week schedule. Also there are many opportunities for overtime and on-call work. The national median yearly salary for electricians for $44,780. The benefits they receive vary by who they are hired for. Many jobs are found by electrical contractors, self employed, temporary worker agencies, and automobile manufacturers. "In addition to jobs created by the increased demand for electrical work, many openings are expected over the next decade as a large number of electricians retire" (bls.gov). There will be very many job opportunities for new electricians. The ones who have already been in the field will most likely take the place of the older, more expirienced workers who retire which will leave the entry openings available. A more exact statistic from wois (The Washington State Career Information System) states that; "Between 2006 and 2016, the number of new jobs to open up in this occupation in Washington State is expected to increase by 14.8%. It is estimated that 259 openings annually will be due to new positions, and 481 openings annually will be from workers leaving this occupation" (wois.org). So there should not be any problem for new workers to find a job when there are 740 jobs per year just in Washington State. Electricians are needed in every state, continent, and country. There would be many opportunities for moving to another place if the electrician wanted to travel.

The person who I decided to be my live source for my culminating project was Seth Cooper. When Seth first started becoming an electrician he went to school for three hours a night, two days a week in Boise, Idaho. The rest of the time he was an apprentice working at a hospital making 50 percent of that of a journeyman electrician at the time, which was $12.25 an hour. The good part was that his schooling was paid for. He has been a journeyman electrician for five years now. He is hired by the Oregon Electric Group an

I live in California in a 4300 sq ft home with 12 bedrooms. I share the house with 19 other people. 15 are children. My sister and her husband died and we took in their 6 kids. There are two families in the home. We use about 4500 kwh per month and our bill is over 1000 all the time. Last month it was almost $1600. Paying about 35 cents a kilowatt hour right now. One of the four adults lost their job and we can not afford the power any more. Can’t move because we owe more than the house worth. We were able to scrape by in the past but I am not sure now. Does anyone install solar with no upfront costs. Pulling my hair out. Called pge and we don’t qualify for the programs. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thx.
Thx so much for the Answers so far.

How much do you pay per kwh? Why do I pay so much more than every one else? We only run the AC when its over 105 outside. We have a wholehouse fan we use religously. All lights are cfl with motion detection at the switch. Our water does come from a well pump though. Why is there not some way I can pay less per kwh?

Maybe Obamma can tack your energy bill onto his energy bill
